The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) announced they have bombed a site in eastern Syria in retaliation to the terrorist attack against a military parade in Iranian Ahvaz 10 days ago.
IRGC said they used 6 surface to surface missiles and 7 military drones to target a terrorist camp 570 kilometers away from one of its bases in the province of Kermanshah west of Iran, flew over Iraq, and killed scores of the terrorist group. The bombing also destroyed the terrorists base’s infrastructure near the city of Bu Kamal east of the Euphrates in Syria.
The IRGC confirmed that the targeted terrorist group was behind the terror attack that killed over a dozen and injured many more in the city of Ahvaz.
The drone used in the IRGC bombing is called Saeqa ‘Thunderbolt’ and it’s a reversed engineering version of the US RQ170 drone which Iran captured in its airspace in 2011 near the borders with Afghanistan.
Iranians add that this is a message two ways: a military message to prove their deterrent capabilities towards any further attack whether by terrorists or by direct bombing, and a Political message to show the sponsors of the terrorists they know who they are and they’re ready to defend their country from their acts.
‘Death to America, Death to Israel and Death to Al-Saud’ was written on the Qaem and Dhulfiqar missiles used in the Iranian bombing operation. Iran has explicitly accused Saudi Arabi and the United Arab Emirates for the attack, and by default Israel and the USA, both sponsors of terror in the region.
Iran wouldn’t bomb any target inside Saudi Arabia, UAE, or Israel, not even the US bases in the region, unless it’s directly bombed from those areas, as its officials maintained.
We hope the IRGC has coordinated with the SAA in their latest bombing, as we are awaiting a statement from the Syrian Ministry of Defense in this regards.
Moscow has welcomed the Iranian bombing, ‘a step in the fight of terrorism efforts’ Putin’s spokesperson said.
The us-led coalition of outlaws illegally operating in Iraq and Syria spokesperson confirmed the bombing and said they will evaluate the results.
