Talks between Israel & Palestine foredoomed to fail: Iran’s envoy to Damascus.

The Iranian ambassador in the Syrian capital Damascus said in a recent statement that the US-backed new negotiation rounds between the Israeli regime and the Palestinian Authority are doomed to failure and thus, the Iranian envoy to Damascus (of course) supports the recent statements of the outgoing Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The outgoing President of Iran, Ahmadinejad, said yesterday that the question of Palestine is connected to the question of saving the humanity itself and that the so-called “Palestine issue” cannot be resolved by dialogs and talks, because believing in this would only be “naïve” and talks are not helpful in the important issue around Palestine.

According to the recent statements by Iran’s ambassador to Damascus, Mr Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani, the upcoming negotiations and talks between the Israeli regime and the Palestinian Authority are foredoomed to failure because the occupation power of Israel would refuse to accept the demands of the Palestinian people. Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani, Iran’s envoy to Damascus, made these statements yesterday.

The Iranian ambassador to Syria said further that this is not the first time that such negotiations are carried out and that these negotiation rounds were each time virtually ineffective. Of course, these statements by the outgoing Iranian President as well as by the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Syria were made in regards to yesterday’s International Quds Day demonstrations.

The Iranian envoy, Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani, pointed out that the existential foundations of the “Zionist regime” (Israel) are “based on occupation, aggression and attacking neighbouring countries” and this is, according to the envoy from Iran, the reason why such new US-backed negotiation rounds between the Israeli regime and the Palestinian Authority are assessed as a failure before they have even started.

After three years, the first meeting for new and direct talks between the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli regime took place on July 29 in Washington, while the U.S. administration hopes that the Palestinian side will accept several incisions in their demands in order to gratify the demands of the Israeli regime.

Of course, successful negotiations between the regime in Tel Aviv and the Palestinian Authority would be celebrated as a direct achievement of U.S. President Barack Obama and the current leadership of the United States is in need of such positive reports.

Although, the Iranian representatives such as the outgoing President Ahmadinejad and the Iranian envoy to Damascus, are probably correct with their rating of the new negotiation rounds between the Israeli regime and the Palestinian Authority. These talks are doomed to failure already before they really start.

"Free Palestine": a trademark.
“Free Palestine”: a trademark.

The last negotiation round was stopped in September 2010 when the Israeli regime has refused it to stop their illegal settlement activities in the sadly still occupied region of the West Bank, which is violating international law. However, the so-called international community of values never really cared about this fact.

Constructions such like these Israeli settlements are forbidden on occupied territory, and thus, these Israeli settlements are illegal and they violate international law. In addition, more and more countries regard these Israeli settlements as illegal but as mentioned, even if the United Nations (UN) pretend the caring about the problems of the Palestinian people and the illegal actions of the Israeli regime, they just stage their care in order to maintain the propaganda that the United Nations (UN) would be something as a neutral organisation.
