Iranian lawmaker: UN report indicates that terrorists have carried out the chemical attack in Ghouta.
While Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad said today that the interventionist policy of Washington is certainly not in the interests of the American people and also thanked Russia for helping his country facing such a “savage attack”, the Iranian legislator Nozar Shafiyee spoke about the published UN report on the use of chemical weapons in Syria.
The information about the further statements of Syrias President Bashar al-Assad following his meeting with the Russian Assistant Foreign Minister in Damascus will sure be published later by Press TV & Co.
Meanwhile, the senior Iranian lawmaker Nozar Shafiyee said in his new statements about the new UN report by the inspectors on the use of chemical weapons agents in the Syrian conflict and especially about the chemical attack in al-Ghouta on August 21 that the report by the UN inspectors not only confirms the use of chemical weapons in Syria, but also indicates that the foreign-backed terrorist groups have carried out the chemical weapons attack in the region of al-Ghouta in the countryside of Syria’s capital Damascus on August 21.
According to the statements by the member of Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Nozar Shafiyee, the UN report by the inspectors shows that the Syrian government of President al-Assad “has not used chemical weapons.”
Nozar Shafiyee added that the inspectors of the United Nations (UN) have confirmed the use of chemical weapons in the countryside of Damascus but that it is not yet clear who was behind the use of the chemical weapons. The senior Iranian legislator pointed out that this situation would be the “biggest winning card and opportunity for Syria.”
Afterwards, the member of Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission explained in his statements that in case if the UN report would have found that the Syrian government of President al-Assad was to blame for the chemical attack, then the United Nations (UN), which is “highly influenced by the US,” would have not missed the chance to announce such a result and to blame the Syrian government for the use of chemical weapons against its own people.
However, such a thing has not been announced by the United Nations (UN), and thus, according to Shafiyee, it must have been the foreign-backed terrorist groups who have used such chemical weapons against the Syrian people.
Not to mention that the UN report about the use of chemical weapons in Syria and the laboratory tests of samples from several areas around Damascus includes some contradictions and even implies that one of the alleged attacks has been fabricated by the terrorists in Syria.
Further, the missing of traces of CW agents in specific samples from one of the areas around Damascus confirm that the eye-witnesses of the terrorist groups have lied about this attack to the inspectors of the United Nations (UN).
The chemical attack in this area of the countryside of Damascus was fabricated to deliver a pretext for the United States to justify a US-led military intervention in Syria.
