Syria: Terrorists attacked Residence of UN Inspectors (Source: FNA)

Saleh Muslim (PYD): Syrian government is “not so stupid” (in terms of chemical weapons).

The head of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), the largest Kurdish group in Syria, spoke in a new interview about the accusations by several Western governments and the mass media of the West that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons in an attack on terrorists and Syrian civilians near the capital, Damascus.

The leader of the largest Kurdish group in Syria, Saleh Muslim, recently quoted by Al-Jazeera with false statements in order to maintain the propaganda against Syria, said in his statements in terms of the claims by the West against the Syrian government that the Syrian leadership would not be “so stupid” to use chemical weapons in a location that is so close to the Syrian capital Damascus.

The leader of the largest Kurdish group in Syria, Saleh Muslim, recently quoted by Al-Jazeera with false statements in order to maintain the propaganda against Syria, said in his statements in terms of the claims by the West against the Syrian government that the Syrian leadership would not be “so stupid” to use chemical weapons in a location that is so close to the Syrian capital, Damascus.

Saleh Muslim, the head of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), further said in his statements that he doubts that the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad would resort to the use of chemical weapons and weapons of mass destruction when the situation on ground in Syria tells that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has finally the upper hand in the war against the foreign-backed terrorists.

The leader of the largest Kurdish group in Syria thinks, according to his statements in terms of the recent alleged use of chemical weapons in Jobar, a suburb of Syria’s capital Damascus, of which the West and the so-called external “Syrian opposition” claims that the chemical attack was carried out the units of the Syrian army and that is has killed hundreds of civilians, that the attack was aimed at the framing of the Syrian President al-Assad and carried out by terrorists to provoke an international reaction.

Of course, the President of Syria as well as the government in Damascus have already strongly denied the accusations that the Syrian forces used chemical weapons in their military operations in Jobar, near the capital. In addition, the team of ANNA-News also rejected these accusations and there are even video recordings from August 21/22.

The head of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) also noted the following situation in his statements:

“The government in Syria … wouldn’t use them (chemical weapons) around Damascus, 5 km from the (UN) committee which is investigating chemical weapons. Of course they are not so stupid as to do so.” (Saleh Muslim)

Of course, the head of the largest Kurdish group in Syria is correct. At the time of the alleged chemical attack in Jobar, several experts of the United Nations (UN) were already in the capital Damascus and prepared the investigation of three locations in Syria where chemical weapons have alleged been used.

However, the Syrian government in Damascus has agreed on Sunday that the UN chemical weapons inspectors are also allowed to investigate the location in Jobar, but sniper fire prevented a further investigation by the team of experts in this area near Damascus yesterday. At least, according to the latest reports, the UN chemical weapons experts have resumed their investigation today. In addition, the UN experts were already able to get some samples of the alleged place of attack yesterday, despite the sniper who fired at a vehicle of the UN chemical weapons team.

Saleh Muslim seems convinced that some sides want to blame the government in Damascus and to present the Syrian government and President al-Assad as guilty in order to then see some actions by the West. According to Mr Saleh Muslim, this could be behind the recent chemical attack in Jobar.

Saleh Muslim finally stated in his recent interview that in case if the inspectors of the United Nations (UN) found evidence that the units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) were not behind the chemical attack and that the evidence says that the militants were behind the recent chemical attack in Syria, everybody “would forget about it”.

He used this rhetorical question at the end of his statements:

“Who is the side who would be punished? Are they are going to punish the Emir of Qatar or the King of Saudi Arabia, or Erdogan of Turkey?”
