Damascus: Syrian military makes new gains in countryside.
The Syrian Arab army (SAA) was able to make new gains and several advances against the foreign-supported terrorist groups on the battlefields near the Syrian capital, Damascus. The operative units of the Syrian army in the countryside of Damascus made new gains in the countryside and were able to inflict losses on the side of the foreign-backed terrorists in recent military operations in the countryside of the Syrian capital.
The partly intense clashes in the battlefields between the Syrian forces and the armed terrorist groups took place near the Syrian capital on Saturday. However, it was to expect that the battles of the Syrian army against the terrorists fighting for a US-Israeli agenda and to establish a theoretical Islamist state in Syria will continue.
The fights between the Syrian army units and the terrorists who seek the armed overthrow of the secular Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus had the results that the units of the Syrian army made new gains on the ground in the countryside of Damascus. In addition, Syrian troops were also able to push a larger group of armed terrorists out of a strategically important Syrian village in the east of Syria’s al-Ghouta, also in Damascus countryside.
The area in the east of al-Ghouta in the countryside of the Syrian capital Damascus is an important strategic area in order to clean the countryside of the capital from all the armed terrorists and jihadists.
The foreign-backed terrorists and especially several armed Islamists from the al-Qaeda-linked Jabhat al-Nusra (al-Nusra Front) were fortified in the area in eastern al-Ghouta. According to a soldiers of the Syrian army, the armed jihadists of the Syrian al-Qaeda offshoot, the Jabhat al-Nusra / al-Nusra Front, were keeping large numbers of arms and ammunition in the eastern area of al-Ghouta.
Therefore, in case the reports from al-Ghouta and yesterday’s battles by the Syrian army units against the armed jihadists of the al-Nusra Front (Jabhat al-Nusra) and the other terrorist forces in the area are true, the Syrian units made some strategic gains in the countryside of Damascus and especially in and around al-Ghouta.
The armed jihadist forces of the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front had occupied several Syrian villages in eastern al-Ghouta and stored many different kinds of weapons there, including mortar launchers, some missiles and even hand-made swords – according to the information from Syrian soldiers on site.
The operative units of the Syrian Arab army (SAA) managed to push the jihadists and Islamists out of at least one strategic Syrian village in the east of al-Ghouta, near Damascus, yesterday. It is to expect that the clashes between the units of the Syrian army and the armed fighters of the al-Nusra Front (Jabaht al-Nusra) and the other terrorist groups will continue in the countryside of Syria’s capital Damascus today.
Further, it is not the first time that hand-made swords were seized from terrorists and jihadists after successful battles against them by the Syrian forces. The armed jihadists of the al-Nusra Front (Jabhat al-Nusra) not only love hand-made swords, but they use the swords also for the beheading (and torture) of hostages.
The strategically important area in eastern al-Ghouta near the capital Damascus is a two-kilometre area and represents a part of the supply line for the armed terrorist and jihadist forces in the region. The supply line through the two-kilometre area in the east of al-Ghouta leads to further areas of the countryside of Damascus and it is important that the units of the Syrian army will successfully clean this two-kilometre area near al-Ghouta in order to cut off the supply line for arms and ammunition for the terrorists and jihadists in areas, which are nearer to Damascus.
According to the new reports by correspondents of Press TV, the units of the Syrian Arab army (SAA) also made new gains against the foreign-backed terrorist forces in other Syrian provinces across the entire Arab nation.
Units of the Syrian army made new gains in the countryside of Syria’s former important economic centre, the city of Aleppo (Halab), but also in the western province of the coastal town of Lattakia (Latakia). Further military operations by the Syrian army units were carried out in the countryside of Homs and Hama yesterday.
