Syria: Iran and Russia reject fabricated claims against Damascus

Syria - Jobar - ANNA-news

Moscow and Tehran dismiss accusations that Syrian forces used chemical weapons.

The governments of Russia and Iran have yet again dismissed the accusations by Washington, Paris and London that the Syrian government in Damascus has used chemical weapons against Syrian civilians and against foreign-backed terrorists. Moscow and Teheran dismissed these claims as a pre-planned scenario and fabricated accusations against Syria.

On August 21, foreign-supported terrorists in Syria and the staged, external “Syrian opposition” claimed that many Syrian civilians had been killed by a chemical attack that was carried out by units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) against some so-called strongholds of the terrorist groups near the capital, Damascus. The Syrian army has launched military operations against the terrorist strongholds in Zamalka, Jobar and Ain Tarma.

The problem with the claims of the terrorist forces in Syria and the so-called “Syrian opposition” and the accusations by Western states such as the United States, France and Britain is that according to Russia, there is no evidence for such claims that the Syrian Army has used chemical weapons in its military operations in Jobar, Ain Tarma and Zamalka near the capital, Damascus.

Further, the video recordings by the team of ANNA-News suggest, that there cannot be an evidence because these clips suggest that no chemical weapons have been used on this location on August 21 by any side of the Syrian conflict. However, the following days changed this situation.

In addition, if the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) would have made use of chemical weapons in the military operations in these suburbs of Damascus (Jobar, Zamalka, Ain Tarma), it would have been very counterproductive. While the team of ANNA-News would then be already dead, also many Syrian soldiers would have died by the chemical agents.

The team of ANNA-News as well as the in the videos occurring Syrian soldiers carried no gas masks. You would not carry out a chemical attack when you have no gas mask, would you?

The Syrian government in Damascus has strictly rejected the baseless accusations by Washington, London and Paris, that the units of the Syrian Army have used chemical weapons in their military operations in these mentioned suburbs of the Syrian capital. According to the statements of the Syrian governance in Damascus, the chemical attack has been carried out by the foreign-backed terrorist groups.

However, as stated, while the videos by ANNA-News suggest that no chemical agents were used in the shown situation of the clips, it is a fact that Syrian soldiers have died later due to chemical agents and it seems that there were not enough gas masks among the units of the Syrian army or they just have not carried gas masks – which implies that they were not behind any chemical attack because, as stated, nobody would seriously carry out attacks with chemical weapons in a near area when he does not carry a gas mask.

As mentioned above, the governments of Russia and the Islamic Republic of Iran have strictly dismissed the baseless accusations against the Syrian government about the alleged use of chemical weapons by the units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in these suburbs of the capital, Damascus.

The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs, Mr Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, as well as the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Michael Bugdanov, made some new statements in direction to the Western governments and about the serious issue of the use of chemical weapons, which could finally serve as a pretext for the next senseless war against a country in the Middle East.

Both officials, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Bugdanov as well as the Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian of Iran rejected the Western allegations against Syria in a telephone conversation yesterday.

Both officials from Tehran and Moscow further denounced the already confirmed use of chemical weapons by the foreign-backed terrorists and the Takfiri thugs in Syria in recent months. According to a Russian investigation of samples from a location of attack in Khan al-Assal (Khan al-Asal) near the Syrian city of Aleppo (Halab), it is clear, as the results of the investigation have proven it, that terrorists have used Sarin nerve gas in this attack on Syrian civilians and soldiers in Khan al-Assal in March, 2013. Just one example.

The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Bugdanov also warned that the consequences of any foreign military attack on Syria would be horrible for the Arab nation and the entire Middle East. The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, has said the same just recently in direction to the U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry.

Both officials from Tehran and Moscow also stressed, according to the official statements about their telephone conversation in terms of the Syrian conflict and the increased war rhetoric by Western governments, that the crisis in Syria can only be solved by political channels.
