وكله بحجة قتال داعش……THE #US has decided to provide utes equipped with mounted machine guns and radios for calling in US airstrikes to some moderate Syrian rebels, seeking to replicate the success Kurdish Peshmerga forces, aided by American B-1B bombers, had over Islamic State last month. The plan comes as the US prepares to start training moderate rebels, who are waging a two-front fight against the extremists and Syrian regime forces.Defence officials said US trainers would be in place by March 1 in Jordan, with a second site due to open soon after in Turkey. The first training sessions are to last between six and eight weeks. The training will focus on helping the rebel forces hold territory and counter Islamic State fighters — not to take on the Syrian army. After that the US will consider introducing what it is calling “the new Syrian force” onto the battlefield in Syria.A team of four to six rebels will each be given a Toyota HiLux ute, fitted with a machine gun, communications gear and Global Positioning System trackers enabling them to call in airstrikes. They will also be given mortars, but the administration hasn’t decided to provide them with more sophisticated anti-tank weapons. The CIA began a covert program to train and arm moderate rebels in 2013, providing ammunition, small arms and anti-tank weapons to small groups of trusted fighters. While that program continues, it is widely viewed as having fallen well short of its aims. The new program is supposed to train a larger number of fighters and, with the addition of air support, officials hope it will have a more dramatic impact on the battlefield. The administration also has been grappling with legal and policy issues — including the highly charged question of whether to confront Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces if they engage the American-trained rebels. The US has begun screening some rebels who will join the program. The US hopes to train 3000 fighters by the end of the year and step up the training next year, to approximately 5000.But officials say the moderate forces will never outnumber Islamic State extremists or regime forces.Reflecting that, the Pentagon believes the moderate forces must have superior training as well as support from US warplanes.Military officials said their ability to control the rebels would be limited once they were on the battlefield. However, the senior official said the US would have some leverage, including ammunition resupply, stipends paid to the fighters and support from airstrikes.“All those things could be put at risk if they go counter to what we have asked them to do,” the official said. The US-trained rebels most likely will be calling in strikes on Islamic State fighters, rather than on fixed targets. The planes would drop 500- and 2000-pound guided bombs, a typical load for the bombers that have operated in Afghanistan as well as Syria.Using the B-1B’s sniper pod, which allows the aircrew to precisely target moving objects, the crew could target tanks, motorcycles and other moving vehicles.Air force pilots who have returned from the battle over Kobane said that communication with Kurdish fighters was decisive in targeting airstrikes.meanwhile:NATO plan It is curious because talks of "truces" were completely absent just as recently as 2011, when both organizations, the UN and NATO, backed hordes of terrorists sweeping across Libya, committing abhorrent atrocities including the systematic, genocidal extermination of Libya's black communities.Indeed, NATO and UN peace treaties only seem to appear when the NATO terrorist proxies encounter serious trouble on the battlefield. The United Nations peace plan is thus nothing more than an attempt to buy time for Western-backed jihadists to regroup, resupply, and re-strategize in hopes that some other “convenient” event take place in #Syria that will break the encirclement in the meantime. While peace is no doubt to be desired in Syria, Western powers should not be allowed to use the concept as a weapon against the Syrian government or the Syrian people. The United States, #UK, #France, #NATO, and the #UN do not want peace. They want a reprieve for their proxy forces. If the #ISIS fighters encircled in Aleppo want peace, they should have the option of unconditional surrender. Amnesty, upon surrender, could also be discussed at the pleasure of the Syrian government.Otherwise, the encirclement should continue and the liberation of #Aleppo must necessarily follow.#Fakepeace agreements and politically based “truces” are no longer acceptable and they are no longer credible in the eyes of any informed observer.Only true and total peace, stability, and reconstruction are acceptable options for Syria.‬
