Moscow: Objective Investigation About Use of Chemical Weapons in Syria

Aleppo / Halab, Syria

Russia hopes for objective UN investigation of chemical weapons use in Syria.

Russia has published a very interesting statement in direction of the United Nations (UN) and the upcoming official investigation of the use of chemical weapons in the Syrian conflict at three locations in Syria, including Khan al-Assal near the strategically important city of Aleppo (Halab).

Khan al-Assad became already famous due to two very horrible incidents. In March 2013, a group of terrorists has fired a missile filled with sarin nerve gas on Syrian civilians and soldiers in Khan al-Assal. The attack by this armed terrorist group has caused the death of several Syrian civilians and soldiers.

In addition, another group of foreign-backed terrorists have carried out a horrible massacre against at least 120 Syrian civilians and some army personnel last week. While the Western propaganda is explaining the attack on the Syrian civilians in Khan al-Assal by the foreign-supported terrorists as it has been the attempt to gain control above a strategically important town near Aleppo, these explanations about the massacre against Syrian civilians is just nonsense.

Even if the area would be from a strategically military importance, this would in no way explain the massacre against over 120 Syrian civilians (residents of Khan al-Assal) by the attacking terrorist group.

The truth could be that a specific side had the intention to “eliminate” the eyewitnesses of the chemical weapons attack in advance of the upcoming official UN investigation of the place of attack in Khan al-Assal in March, 2013. Thereby, this would even explain the noticeable “clothing style” of this specific terrorist group that is responsible for the killing of over 100 Syrian civilians in Khan al-Assal near Aleppo last week.

In addition, this would serve as probably the best explanation for a massacre against so many Syrian civilians and residents in a specific town like Khan al-Assal, which has no military importance.

However, back to the demand by Russia in direction to the United Nations (UN) and the inspectors of the UN in Syria. Moscow has called on the inspection team of the UN to carry out an objective investigation of the use of chemical weapons inside Syria. The inspectors of the United Nations (UN) have the allowance by the Syrian government in Damascus to investigate three places in terms of the alleged use of chemical weapons on Syrian soil.

While it is already known that the UN investigation in regards of the allegations about the use of chemical arms in Syria will for sure take place in the area of Khan al-Assal, it is not yet known anything about the other two places of the upcoming UN investigation, which will hopefully be an objective investigation by the UN inspectors. It`s about time for some objectivity by the United Nations in terms of the Syrian conflict and less double-standards.

As already mentioned, the allegations of the use of chemical weapons in Syria do no more count for the attack of a terrorist group in Khan al-Assal from March this year because the Russian experts have already found first-hand evidence in samples from the place of attack in the area of Khan al-Assal that the terrorist group had used sarin nerve gas in their attack against Syrian civilians and some soldiers of the Syrian army.

Moscow gave the documents, evidence, and samples to the hands of the United Nations (UN) about three weeks ago. Since then, the UN stayed quiet about the samples and evidence while they still call it allegations although the Russian investigation by licensed experts in a licensed laboratory has found first-hand evidence. This could imply that the United Nations (UN) want to hide this or just do not believe anything that comes from Moscow. Both could be true, couldn’t it?

The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov has said on Thursday that Moscow hopes the investigation by the UN inspectors in Syria about the use of chemical weapons will be objective and comprehensive and not half-hearted.

In addition, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov expressed his hope that the inspectors of the United Nations (UN) in Syria will investigate everything that is related to the use of chemical weapons on Syrian soil and this includes also the situation when the indicators of the use of chemical weapons lead to the result that chemical weapons might have been used by the foreign-supported terrorists in Syria.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov gave this statement in direction of the United Nations (UN) after the announcement by the UN that it will send a team of investigators to Syria in order to probe three sites (including Khan al-Assal) where chemical weapons have allegedly been used during the ongoing conflict in Syria.

Gennady Gatilov has finally again stressed in his recent statement that it is very important that the UN inspectors in Syria will approach this topic and matter in a very comprehensive way and that their results and the conclusion will be objective.

Meanwhile, it is said that the UN inspectors will travel to Syria next week. As stated, the only of the three places of these upcoming UN investigations, which is already known, is Khan al-Assal, in the countryside of Aleppo, until now.
