Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah, said in a recent statement during an interview with the al-Mayadeen news channel that is located in the Lebanese capital Beirut that Hezbollah supports all those in Syria who are supporting the resistance against Israel.

But the Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem also reiterated in this interview with Beirut’s al-Mayadeen news channel that a political dialogue is the only possible way to resolve the situation within Syria and to decrease the level of violence in this Arab nation.

In addition, Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem confirmed in this new interview with al-Mayadeen that the Lebanese movement was playing a supportive role in the neighboring country Syria and it is certain that Hezbollah is still playing this role – for example, in the area of the Syrian-Lebanese border town of Al-Qusayr.

The Deputy Secretary General of the known Lebanese movement further warned in this new interview that some Western powers and some Arab states such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar are definitely provoking a backlash on their own soils due to their hypocritical stance on Syria and their support for the Western intentions of a violent regime-change in Syria.

Not to mention the financial support for several terrorist groups, the financing of supply routes and deliveries of weapons, ammunition and further radical human resources in order to still maintain the terrorism and bloodshed against Damascus and the Syrian people.

Already at the beginning of May, the Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem has said that Israel has aimed to boost the morale of the foreign-backed radicals and militants fighting in Syria by its recent horrible airstrikes against Damascus. Sheikh Naim Qassem has made the following statement earlier in May:

“An aggression by Israel against Syria has taken place which means that Syria represents an obstacle in the face of Israel. But Syria is unwavering in the face of Israel.”

While the Israeli Major General Amir Eshel said on May 22 that the Israeli administration was prepared to attack the Arab nation in the moment when the government of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad collapses. Israel has already carried out at least three airstrikes in Syria this year and the “international community” just looked and looks away, as usual.
