Sixty-five new positive cases of COVID 19 discovered today in Syria, seventeen cases recovered, and four cases with tested positive with the virus died in the past 24 hours in Syria.
The above stats were reported in the daily statement by the Syrian Ministry of Health which summed the totals as of date: 2830 total cases tested positive with COVID 19 since March earlier this year, 646 cases recovered since, and 116 patients died so far.
The Syrian healthcare system is overwhelmed by 9.5 years of the US-led War of Terror and attrition that targeted the healthcare system among all sectors of the country, and the US and EU inhumane sanctions against the Syrian people.
Whether a real pandemic of a novel coronavirus or a ‘scamdemic’ as critics call it, it does add further burden on the Syrian economy.
