Russia’s envoy to the United Nations (UN),Vitaly Churkin, has made the new statement that the meeting between officials of the UN Security Council (UNSC) and the so-called “Syrian National Coalition” (SNC) is no sign of a recognition of this external “Syrian opposition” group “in any official role.”

So, according to the Russian envoy to the United Nations (UN),Vitaly Churking the upcoming informal meeting of some members of the UN Securtiy Council (UNSC) and the small delegation of the foreign-backed “Syrian National Coalition” (SNC),based in Turkey, is no sign of an official recognition of this external “opposition group” in any official role.

However, it smells a bit strange and this is certainly the reason why Vitaly Churkin has made this statement in regards of this questionable meeting between the new Saudi-linked head of the so-called “Syrian National Coalition” (SNC) and members of the UN Security Council (UNSC) in the United Nations Headquarters in New York today.

Vitaly Churkin said further that this meeting between the UN Security Council and the small delegation of the foreign-supported “Syrian National Coalition” (SNC) should not be viewed as a recognition of this group and that the aim of this meeting, which will take place today, was actually to encourage the external “Syrian Opposition” to begin with the preparations for the upcoming second peace conference in Geneva (Geneva II) that was already proposed by Moscow and the United States in May this year.

Although there are several voices who say that the Saudi-linked head of the “Syrian National Coalition” (SNC) also wants to talk about weapons and further support by the Obama administration and the United Nations (UN) for the terrorist groups of the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) fighting in Syria against the secular government of President Bashar al-Assad in the capital, Damascus. The so-called “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) can be regarded as the violent and criminal “ground forces” of the staged (and divided) “Syrian National Coalition” (SNC),based in Turkey.

Russia’s envoy to the United Nations (UN),Vitaly Churkin, said today that the aim of this meeting should be to encourage the small delegation of the “Syrian National Coalition” (SNC) and its leadership to really prepare for “Geneva-2” (the planned next international peace conference on Syria). Thus, according to Vitaly Churkin, this meeting is just an informal event and it is not even an official event by the UN Security Council (UNSC).

But there are questions why Vitaly Churkin has said these statements. As you might know, there is always a reason why politicians comment on something or stay silent. One could think that Vitaly Churkin was almost forced to make the Russian stance clear again into the direction of the United Nations / United Nations Security Council in regards of this meeting between members of the UNSC and the staged “Syrian National Coalition” (SNC).

The so-called “Geneva-2 conference” will be aimed at finding a political solution for the Syrian conflict, although the last international conference on the topic Syria was worth nothing in the end.

The “political representatives” of the SNC/FSA in this so-called “informal meeting” between members of the UNSC and the SNC is led by the Saudi-linked head of the SNC, Ahmad Jarba.

Ahmad Jarba, with deep connections to the totalitarian dictatorship in Saudi Arabia, has already met with the US Secretary of State, John Kerry, and called on the US Secretary of State to deliver weapons and military aid to the terrorist groups of the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) as soon as possible.
