Units of the Syrian armed forces inflicted heavy losses upon armed terrorist groups in al-Eteibeh town and its surrounding in the eastern Ghouta in Damascus Countryside.
SANA reporter said an army unit killed 9 terrorists at al-Doghmashiya Bridge, among them Fadel Naifa, Ali Msoud and Nour-eddin al-Saeed were identified, and arrested others.
The reporter added that a den for terrorists was destroyed in the area.
An official source told SANA’s correspondent that the main path for smuggling weapons and terrorists from Jordan and Lebanon has been uncovered, as they had been distributed across Damascus Countryside via the town of al-Utaibeh.
The source said that many types of weapons were smuggled in this manner including heavy machineguns, RPG launchers, anti-armor launchers, vehicles equipped with machineguns, and anti-aircraft cannons.
