Ban Ki-moon: Political solution needed for Syrian conflict.
While the government of President al-Assad in Damascus submitted new evidence for the use of chemical weapons by the terrorists in Syria to the Russian administration, Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Bashar al-Jaafari, said in a new statement that the released report by the United Nations (UN) and their experts on the investigation and the analysis of samples from areas near the Syrian capital Damascus about the use of chemical weapons would mention nothing new and that the Syrian government has repeatedly forewarned of.
The Syrian Ambassador to the UN, Bashar al-Jaafari, also said that the findings of the UN report by the inspectors and laboratories on the use of chemical weapons in the countryside of Syria’s capital Damascus did not add anything new to what the government of Syria has forewarned of repeatedly since a long time.
Bashar al-Jaafari further stated during a meeting of the UN General Assembly to hear the update of the UN chief Ban Ki-moon on the report by the inspectors about the alleged use of chemical weapons in the area of al-Ghouta on August 21 that the Syrian government will investigate the findings of the UN report and that it has no interested to “anticipate judgment on the contents of the report before a careful study of its details.”
The same applies for Russia and the new evidence that was submitted by the Syrian government to Moscow. The new evidence should prove that the foreign-backed terrorists have used chemical weapons. Of course, Moscow has to analyse the new samples from the Syrian government and will not speak about it till there are clear results of the analysis of this new evidence from the Syrian government about the use of CW agents by the terrorist groups on Syrian soil.
Further, the released UN report even confirms the fabrication of one chemical attack by the terrorists near Damascus.
Due to the situation that no traces of CW agents were found in the samples from Muadamiah, it is clear that this alleged attack was staged in order to trigger a US-led military intervention in Syria and to cross the “red line” of U.S. President Obama. In addition, the results of the analysis of the samples from Muadamiah and the missing of traces of CW agents in these samples from this area near Damascus confirms that the witnesses of the terrorists groups have lied about this attack to the UN inspectors.
However, it remains to be seen when the UN (United Nations) will notice this situation and speaks about it or whether they try to conceal it just like Washington still tries to maintain its propaganda against Syria, although the UN report actually makes the U.S. claims against Syria even more porous. The accusations by e.g. Washington against Damascus that the Syrian government would have used chemical weapons against its own people is full of holes and the U.S. administration in Washington has still not published any convincing evidence for its claims against the government of Bashar al-Assad.
And while Bashar al-Jaafari said that the UN report delivers nothing new and the Syrian government has handed over new evidence to Russia, which is said to confirm the use of chemical weapons by the terrorist groups in the Arab country, also the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon made some new statements in terms of the Syrian conflict and his upcoming meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who has recently lied towards congressmen in the United States about the “absence of Al Qaeda in Syria”.
The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, designated as “UN clown” even by some of his own people at the United Nations (UN), said in his new statements that a political and diplomatic solution is the only method to really resolve the crisis and conflict in Syria. Ban Ki-moon underlined in his statements that he rejects any military action against Syria and is also opposed to a military intervention in the Arab country.
The UN chief then pointed out that he will meet with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the side-lines of the upcoming meeting of the UN General Assembly in order to discuss possible ways to resolve the Syrian conflict politically. Also the UN envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Ibrahimi, will participate in the meeting of Sergey Lavrov, John Kerry, and UN chief Ban Ki-Moon on the side-lines of the UN General Assembly meeting.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon also said in this new press conference that the United Nations (UN) welcomes Syria’s joining to the Convention of Chemical Weapons (CWC) as well as the new agreement between Washington and Moscow in terms of the chemical weapons stockpiles on Syrian soil. He hopes, so Ki-moon, that the UNSC (UN Security Council) would be unified to deal with the present issues in regards of Syria because “there is no more time to waste.”
However, Russia and the United States still argue about the upcoming and planned resolution of the UN Security Council on Syria – despite their deal on Syria’s chemical weapons.
While Russia prefers a resolution on Syria without any reference to the Chapter 7 of the UN Charter, Washington wants a resolution based on the Chapter 7 of the UN Charter that would then allow the use of military force to “restore international peace again.” And this is just one of the contentious points between these sides in regards of the Syrian conflict and the chemical weapons.
