Syrian Arab Army

Several units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) was able to eliminate a huge number of the foreign-supported jihadists and militants in and around the Syrian city of Homs. In addition, the troops of the Syrian army were able to kill several ringleaders in the Western province of Homs and these eliminated terrorists were already on a wanted list by the Syrian authorities since some time.

The news from the Western city of Homs are good today. Not only that troops of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) killed a numerous amount of foreign-backed Takfiri militants and terrorists in and around the city of Homs, but as stated, the units of the Syrian military were also able to kill several wanted ringleaders of the ground forces of the so-called “Syrian opposition”, based in Turkey.

This staged opposition as well as the militants, terrorists and jihadists fighting on Syrian soil against the secular Syrian nation are supported by foreign powers in order to implement a regime change in Syria.

Syrian forces were able to kill some wanted terrorists from the “al-Tawhid Brigade” in the al-Khalidieh neighbourhood of the Syrian city of Homs in their cleansing operations in this area today. The units of the Syrian army were already able to enter al-Khalidieh yesterday and the cleansing operations are still continued in this area of Homs.

There were also some battles in the city of al-Rastan between a unit of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and a group of foreign-backed terrorists near a sports club within the city. The Syrian army units was able to kill several of these armed jihadists, including their leader Obeid Hassan Obeid (“Abi Allaith”). Further armed jihadists and terrorists were eliminated in the east of Talkalakh, which is located in north-western Syria

Further battles took place in the east of the Syrian city of Homs. Especially between the both villages of Saddad and al-Na’mieh. There, the unit of the Syrian army was also able to kill two militants and to arrest a third jihadist. In the region of al-Hula, the unit of the Syrian army was more successful. The Syrian army unit killed a not specified number of armed terrorists and injured several other jihadists in the attempt to destroy some hideouts located in the villages of al-Taybieh, al-Gharbieh and al-Hosn.

Also the mop-up operations by the Syrian army units in the area of Hama are continued today. And there is also good news from the countryside of Hama. According to several reports, the units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) have inflicted huge losses upon the jihadists of the so-called “al-Nusra Front” there.

It is not yet known how many members of this al-Qaeda-linked and CIA-backed “al-Nusra Front” were killed and eliminated by the units of the Syrian army in the countryside of Hama today. In addition, several battles are still continued in the countryside as well as in the countryside of Latakia (Lattakia) and other areas of Syria. Hopefully all with a good end for the Syrian soldiers.

Map insets would be nice. I can, sometimes, pick out where SAA is prosecuting successful offensive operations, but mostly (on my Atlas map) by the fact that a large town is mentioned in conjunction with the operation, but I’m not able to plot the day-to-day progress in the villages and suburbs. I do note, however, that SAA is regaining control of roads and high ground, which is good. In previous reports, with videos, I’ve noticed that the SAA fire bases on high ground show artillery just sitting out in the open, no revetments or breastworks to protect the guns, crews or ready ammunition stocks from plunging fire – – you should see to that, right away. Cleaning up the rest of Dar’a and closing the road from Jordan should cut down a lot on guerilla logistic capability, hope it gets done soon. Goos luck, SAA – – kick their butts.
