The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov did not only speak about the evidence of the use of chemical weapons (sarin nerve gas) by the foreign-backed militants and Takfiri terrorists near the Syrian city of Aleppo some months ago yesterday, but Sergei Lavrov also spoke about the new Saudi-linked president of the “Syrian National Coalition” (SNC), Ahmad Assi Jarba.
In the opinion of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the newly elected Saudi-linked President of this “umbrella organisation” of the external staged Syrian opposition hinders the attempts to hold the proposed meeting in Geneva to find a political solution to the conflict and crisis in Syria.
This is a serious allegation but assuming that the newly elected President of the “Syrian National Council” (SNC), based in Turkey, has not only links to Saudi Arabia and the totalitarian dictatorship of this Gulf State, but also has to do what his masters in other foreign countries want, there is no doubt that some sides want to prevent a political solution for Syria.
In addition, the foreign-backed terrorists and jihadists fighting in Syria against the secular nation of this Arab country will receive new modern weapons by Saudi Arabia soon and it is to assume, that some sides still think they can win this proxy war in Syria by arming the jihadists and Al Qaeda-linked thugs and so-called “brigades” in Syria.
The newly elected and Saudi-linked leader of the “Syrian National Council” (SNC), Ahmad Assi Jarba, is also just a puppet of foreign powers and has no real power about the heavily divided external “opposition” that is supported by Washington, Europe, and Israel, as well as even by some Arab country. Not to mention the both totalitarian dictatorships in the Gulf, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Ahmad Assi Jarba said after his election as new President of the staged umbrella organisation of the so-called “Syrian opposition” (outside Syria) that this group will not attend the upcoming conference in Geneva that is planned by Russia and the United States – unless the militants make some military advances on Syrian soil first.
This is a “very democratic statement” and just shows the state of mind of these people. You can ask yourself whether this sounds that this Saudi-linked person is really interested in peace for Syria and the Syrian people – or if he is not interested in peace. Easy question, easy answer?
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said yesterday in a reply to the statement of the Saudi-linked President of the “Syrian National Council” (SNC), Ahmad Assi Jarba, that if somebody would follow this logic of this person, there will never the possibility to convene any conference for peace talks about the Syrian conflict and situation.
Lavrov further said the following:
“Our Western partners took responsibility for getting the opposition to attend the Geneva conference without preconditions.”
