LG unveils the next smartphone of its L-series – the Optimus L1 II.
The known manufacturer LG has unveiled a new member of its L-series – the Optimus L1 II entry-level smartphone with Android OS. The new Optimus L1 II is placed under the Optimus L3 II due to its low-end features, and is aimed at price-conscious smartphone beginners.
The technical specifications of the LG Optimus L1 II are not really amazing or interesting. The new LG smartphone is equipped with a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen, which will feature a resolution of 320×240 pixels.
Under the hood of the new low-entry device by LG, there is a Qualcomm MSM7225A Snapdragon-CPU, which is clocked at 1 GHz. LG equips the Android smartphone with 512MB RAM and in terms of the display size, resolution and the clock rate of the Snapdragon processor – the performance of the low-entry device should be OK.
However, the Optimus L1 II is no middle-class or high-class smartphone and the buyers should not forget about this fact.
Thus, a lot depends on the aimed price at LG for this low-entry smartphone with the mobile operating system Android by Google. The camera of Optimus L1 II smartphone is able to take pictures with not-really-impressive 2 megapixels, Videos can be recorded in a simple VGA resolution.
The internal storage has 4 Gigabyte, which can be increased up to 32 GB via a microSD-card. The battery has 1,540 mAh and this should be enough to get through a day with this low-entry smartphone from LG – at least, if the buyer does not play a lot of mobile games every day.
The LG Optimus L1 II ships with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. However, LG has pre-installed its own User Interface and Framework, and thus, there is an open question about updates of the Android OS for the LG Optimus L1 II. To be honest, the buyer should not expect much updates for this device.
The new low-entry smartphone Optimus L1 II will be initially available in some emerging countries such as Vietnam and even Russia is named as emerging country.
Later, the LG Optimus L1 II will also be available in some Arab countries in the Middle East as well as in several North African states. Whether the Optimus L1 II will also be available in Europe is not yet clear.
The price of the LG Optimus L1 II with Android Jelly Bean should be around 70 Euros.
