Israel behind Attacks near Syrian City of Latakia

US officials have confirmed that fighter jets from Israel have bombarded a Syrian arsenal with advanced Russian-made Yakhont anti-ship missiles on July 5 to CNN. The US officials confirmed the Israeli attack near the Syrian port city of Latakia (Lattakia) and it is to understand that the report by CNN does not mention the names of these officials from the United States.

According to the information about the Israeli attack on Syria, the Israeli regime has launched the air strike (July 5) on the arsenal with the advanced Russian-made Yakhont anti-ship missiles near the city of Latakia in order to destroy these advanced missiles because, as usual, the Israeli regime believed that these advanced weapons pose a threat to its regime forces.

So far, the Syrian government in the capital Damascus has not provided further information about the attack / blasts near the city of Latakia and also the Russian government has not yet provided much information or a lot of statements about these blasts near the famous Syrian port city. The regime in Israel has also not commented the report by CNN or the statements by the US officials.

It is to assume that the Israel regime is involved in at least three airstrikes against Syria since the beginning of this year and it is to put into question why Syria is unable to protect itself against these airstrikes. After the last airstrike by the Israeli regime against Syria, the Syrian government in Damascus warned the Israeli regime that it would give a quick response to further aggressions by Israel but this did not happen so far.

Also the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem confirmed in an interview with the Arabic TV station (Lebanon) al-Mayadeen on May 29 that Damascus will respond to any further attacks by Israel without a warning. Again, a response did not happen so far.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said in this interview with al-Mayadeen that Syria will not let any Israeli aggression go unanswered without a retaliation but it seems it did because there was no retaliation after the attack by the Israeli regime on the weapons arsenal near the Syrian port city of Latakia (Lattakia).

Of course, something still could happen and there will be further reports on this specific airstrike. In addition, the Russian government in Moscow as well as the Syrian government in Damascus are exchanging information about these attacks and some other important topics. Both intelligence agencies in Russia and Syria exchange information, too.
