Iranian-Russian Plan for Peaceful Regime Change in Syria is a Figment

Iran rejected media reports about Iranian-Russian plan for a peaceful overthrow of Bashar al-Assad.

While Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad said in a new interview that the US administration in Washington should “expect everything” in the case that US military forces will really attack Syria, an Iranian official has rejected the recent media claims about the existence of an Iranian-Russian plan for a peaceful overthrow of the Syrian government and President al-Assad in Damascus.

However, the further content of the recent interview with Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad is not yet published.

The full interview with the President of Syria will be published later this day and is then certainly printed by all the mass media. It is to expect that Western mass media will again use some phrases out of the context to present the Syrian President al-Assad as an evil dictator and to support the rhetoric of war by Washington, Tel Aviv and Ankara against Syria, although these so-called journalists know that they become an accessory to the crime of a war on Syria and will have a complicit in the killing of Syrian civilians by US airstrikes and cruise missile attacks on Syrian soil.

And while many probably wait for the full interview with the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a senior Iranian lawmaker has dismissed the current media allegations that Russia and Iran would have devised a joint plan to overthrow the President of Syria peacefully. Such media rumours are nonsense and are only published for the support the Western propaganda.

The Chairman of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, rejected these media reports about the existence of a joint plan by Tehran and Moscow for a peaceful regime change in Syria and the removal of the Syrian government without military force. The senior Iranian legislator, Mr. Boroujerdi, has already made several new statements in regards of Syria, the conflict in the Arab country and the threats of war against Damascus in the recent days.

In his new statements, the Iranian Chairman of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission in Tehran said that the claims published by certain Western media “about the existence of a Tehran-Moscow plan for changing Syria’s political future is a sheer lie.”

According to the statements of the senior Iranian lawmaker from Monday, the allegations by the media agencies in Israel and the United States are “merely ballyhoos and sheer lie.” To be honest, he called the media agencies in Israel, which have again published such a nonsense in support of their propaganda against Syria, the “Zionist regime’s media.”

The Chairman of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, also reiterated that the recent journey of the Iranian parliamentary delegation to Syria and Lebanon was not aimed on the presentation of a plan for the political future of the Syrian nation as it was claimed by the media in the West and Israel. In contrast, the Iranian administration supports the current political system in Syria.

After Israeli media has claimed that Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad is injured, fled to Moscow and Tehran, the news agencies in Tel Aviv have just claimed that Russia and Iran would have created a plan to overthrow the Syrian President al-Assad and his government in Damascus without the use of military force in order to prevent a war on the Arab country and the dire consequences of such a US-led war against Syria for the Middle Eastern region.

Of course, also this new fantasy about the plan by Tehran and Moscow to remove al-Assad peacefully, published by certain US and Israel media agencies, was again wrong.
