The new version of the HTC firmware for the HTC One, the HTC Butterfly and the other One-devices is based on Android 4.2.2 and includes several typical customizations by HTC.

Of course, HTC Sense is a part of the new firmware. The HTC Sense UI comes in version 5 and should be the same HTC Sense UI that is already known from the HTC One and the HTC One mini. Thus, HTC Sense 5 includes Blink Feed, Zoe and the video highlight-feature for the HTC One, One X, One X+ and Butterfly devices.

Thus, the owners of the aforementioned HTC smartphones from last year are finally able to enjoy the features and optimizations that Android 4.2.2 delivers and as a bonus, several features of the HTC One are also included in the firmware updates for the HTC devices from last year (HTC One X-series / HTC Butterfly).

HTC says in its official press release that the firmware update is available since today. There is no further and detailed information about the schedule of the rollout of the ROM update by the known smartphone manufacturer for its devices from last year.

However, the rollout has started and the owners of such HTC One X-smartphones will look forward to Android 4.2.2 and HTC Sense 5. It can last some days till the new firmware, based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, will reach all of the mentioned HTC devices. Probably some days.
