According to statements from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), an unit of the Syrian army has destroyed an Israeli military vehicle which crossed the known and sensitive Golan Heights ceasefire line into the territory of Syria. At least, some media reports refer to sources from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in their current reports about the destroyed Israeli military vehicle in the Golan Heights ceasefire line.
The statement, allegedly made by the Syrian army, says the following and so far there are no reasons to put this statement into question but as long as there is no more information, all news about Syria should be taken with care.
Alleged statement by the Syrian army:
“Our armed forces have destroyed an Israeli vehicle with everything that it had in it. The vehicle had crossed the ceasefire line and was moving towards the village of Bir Ajam in Syria.”
Already yesterday, Syrian troops were able to seize an Israeli military vehicle with the usual Israeli identification markings near the Syrian-Lebanese border. After cleaning an area near the Syrian town of al-Qusayr, the troops of the Syrian army found an Israeli military vehicle, which was probably used by the foreign-sponsored terrorists near the border to Lebanon.
While Israel denied this report, there are already some clear pictures of this Israeli military SUV with the identification markings of Israel. In addition, some Israeli statement said that this SUV is an old model, no more used – but researches show that this Israeli military vehicle is not so old as it is said to be by the israeli authorities.
In terms of the current destroyed Israeli military SUV in the Golan Heights ceasefire line, the authorities of Israel said that their military vehicle came under fire in the disputed Golan Heights. Of course, they called it “under Syrian fire”, while there is also the possibility that some of the thugs and foreign-backed religious fanatics fired at this vehicle.
Both is currently possible, as usual. And every side is just using the explanations that are the best for their conducted propaganda phrases.
The Israeli authorities also added that the military patrol has returned fire at the source of the bullets but so far, there is no information about any destroyed Syrian army vehicle or injured soldiers. The question is probably, why does an Israeli military SUV cross the Golan Heights ceasefire line into Syria.
The so-called buffer zone in the Golan Heights was established after the Arab-Israeli war in 1973 in order to have a ceasefire line between the Israeli occupation regime and Syria. The Golan Heights are still very important for Syria and, thus, they have been in the middle of disputes for years now. This is just logical.
The Golan Heights belong to Syria and not to anybody else. Israel never sticked to international law when it comes to the Golan Heights or other areas. In addition, although Israel violated these laws and still violates them, the occupation regime is still supported by many so-called democratic governments. This support for the violations of international law just shows the hypocrisy of many Western governments.
