Egypt: Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Care About Their Interests

Egypt - It could be so beautiful..

The totalitarian dictatorship of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have pledged together a total sum of $8 billion to Egypt after the military coup by the Egyptian army to overthrow the President Mohamed Morsi as head of the North African country.

While it is still very questionable why some newspapers and agencies refer to the ousted President Mohamed Morsi, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood branch in Egypt, as the “first democratically elected leader” of Egypt, because such a leader should also act in democratically ways and to be a democrat, the both Gulf States Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) seem to back the military coup against Morsi with the aid of $8 billion for Egypt.

The Saudi dictator, also called the king of Saudi Arabia, decided to give Egypt a sum of $5 billion. This was announced yesterday by the Saudi Finance Minister Ibrahim al-Assaf, also a member of the totalitarian dictatorship of this Gulf State.

After soldiers of the Egyptian army have alleged shot dead at least 84 members of the Muslim Brotherhood and thus, supporters of the ousted President and Islamist Mohamed Morsi in Cairo at the beginning of this week, the country receives some aid by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

While Egypt’s economy needs every aid it can get and after European states like Germany have already invested a huge sum after the so-called “Arab spring” in Egypt, it seems that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have no real problem with the acts of the Egyptian army and the military coup against the President Mohamed Morsi, who never was a democratically leader of this North African country.

The Saudi aid for Egypt (or shall we say for the Egyptian army?) includes a $2 billion interest-free deposit in the Central Bank of Egypt as well as a $1 billion donation and also $2 billion worth of oil and gas products.

As stated, the Saudi Finance Minister Ibrahim al-Assad said yesterday that the aid for Egypt was intended to support the Egyptian economy but it seems it also supports some interests of Saudi Arabia in Egypt. Everything else would be a huge surprise.

Saudi Arabia pledges this aid to Egypt in order to take care about own interests. Same applies for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and their aid for the “Egyptian economy” now.

According to the statement of the United Arab Emirates from yesterday, the Gulf States is going to grant Egypt a sum of $3 billion in aid. This includes $1 billion of donation and a $2 billion interest-free deposit in the central bank of Egypt.
