Afghanistan: CIA Blood Money for Hamid Karzai

George Washington on the $1 Bill

According to a recently published article about Afghanistan, President Hamid Karzai and the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) by the New York Times, which also published a surprisingly (and finally) true report about Syria in the last days, the CIA has delivered tens of millions of U.S. dollars in cash in backpacks, plastic shopping bags and suitcases to the known office of the so-called Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai.

This “money transfers” by the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) into the hands of the Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai are said to have happened for more than a decade now. The interesting report by the New York Times is based on believable statements by current and former advisers to the so-called leader in Afghanistan.

This so-called “ghost money” (which can also be called CIA blood money) was used to increase (buy) the influence of the American CIA in Afghanistan but the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) failed in this attempt as usual. The CIA ghost money has instead fuelled the corruption and violence in Afghanistan and the CIA dollars also empowered several violent warlords in the country. The money by the CIA which could have been spent better on American soil to help e.g. all the homeless and jobless American families even undermined the so-called exist strategy of the U.S. administration from Afghanistan.

Several U.S. officials were cited by the report of the New York Times and as stated, the report is to believe and should not be a huge surprise for the most people who took care about the situation and developments in and around Afghanistan. In addition, CIA blood money (ghost money) is nothing new or anything exceptional.

One of the cited U.S. officials, for example, stated the following in the report by the New York Times about the corrupt Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, the corrupt United States and the failed “investments” by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA):

“The biggest source of corruption in Afghanistan was the United States.” (Source)

Of course, the officials of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) declined it to comment on this report by the New York Times and also no official from the U.S. State Department commented on the article so far. In terms of the “ghost money”, the former chief of staff from the office of the Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, Khalil Roman, who served as the chief of staff for this office from 2002 to 2005, told NYT that they called it “ghost money” because the money came in secret (to Afghanistan) and left in secret.

The delivery of cash has been standard procedure for the CIA and other “agencies” in Afghanistan since a long time and it is still continued.

Alas, I doubt that anyone would be surprised at this news, any more than anyone would have been surprised at the news we were feeding old Afghani men Viagra.
